	Needs Improvement Student is unable to complete all aspects of the assignment or give an explanation of how mountains are formed or how they change. 1 pts	Meets Expectations Student completed all aspects of the assignment and can give a basic explanation of how mountains are formed and how they change. 2 pts	Exceeds Expectations Student completed all aspects of the assignment and shows a deep understanding of how mountains are formed and how they change. 3 pts
Structure Student is able to construct a model that accurately represents the type of mountain they have chosen.	Needs Improvement Model does not resemble the type of mountain indicated by the student.	Meets Expectations Model somewhat resembles they type of mountain chosen by the student.	Exceeds Expectations Model is an accurate representation of the type of model chosen by the student.
Description Student can explain what type of mountain they chose to build, dome, block, fault block mountains or volcanic.	Needs Improvement Students only give the name of the mountain with no other information.	Meets Expectations Student gives a basic explanation of the type of mountain, how it is formed and the forces that cause it to change.	Exceeds Expectations Student labels all parts of the type of mountain, how it is formed and the forces that cause it to change.
