Support	Below Basic The speech does not provide any reasons/support for the speaker's position.	Basic The speech provides minimal reasons/support for the speaker's position.	Proficient The speech provides adequate reasons/support for the speaker's position.	Advanced The speech provides comprehensive reasons/support for the speaker's position.
Organization	Below Basic The speech is disorganized and difficult to follow. No transitions are used.	Basic The speech is loosely organized; may be difficult to follow in places. Transitions are not used effectively.	Proficient The speech is organized and easy to follow; transitions are used.	Advanced The speech is well-organized and extremely easy to follow.
