	Exceeding Standard All three components are present. 14 pts	Meeting Standard Two of the three components are present. 11 pts	Approaching Standard One of the three components are present. 8 pts	In Need of Improvement None of the three components are present; or, the work is not of an acceptable standard. 5 pts
Content	Exceeding Standard Blocking is clearly illustrated, relevant and understandable. Purpose driven Staging and decisions are easy to follow and understand Major "Moments" were found.	Meeting Standard Blocking is illustrated, mostly relevant and partly understandable. Purpose driven in places, random otherwise . Staging and decisions largely understandable Some "moments" were found.	Approaching Standard Blocking is present but appears unmotivated and irrelevant. Little purpose evident Staging and decisions are confusing and unmotivated Few "moments" were found.	In Need of Improvement Blocking is largely absent; actors move randomly and w/o purpose Staging and decisions are not readily discernible No "moments" were found.

Preparation	Exceeding Standard Scene/play was exceptionally well-prepared. The scene showed it was rehearsed, polished and controlled with insight.	Meeting Standard Scene/play was adequately prepared. The scene showed it was rehearsed and was smoothly performed.	Approaching Standard Scene/play lacked in preparedness. The scene was somewhat choppy and slightly off in delivery.	In Need of Improvement Scene/play was underprepared.
Performance	Exceeding Standard Performance was excellent. Actors were well-chosen and directed thoughtfully. Scene showed the director understood the scene and was able to convey the emotions and motivations of the characters.	Meeting Standard Performance was acceptable. Actors were well chosen and directed adequately. Scene showed director understood the scene but was only somewhat able to convey the emotions and motivations of the characters.	Approaching Standard Performance was somewhat acceptable. Actors may have not been well chosen or more likely, not directed well. Scene may have shown the director had some misconceptions about the scene and/or the emotions and motivations of the characters were obscure.	In Need of Improvement Performance was not acceptable.
