	Good 3 pts
Lead 1 pts Enter criteria description	Good Opening sentence invites the reader to read more by arousing interest.
Thesis 3 pts Enter criteria description	Good Thesis statement should be of type practiced in class (13 thesis statements). It should include all information about the topic, title, author, and key words from the prompt. It must be appropriately constructed and punctuated. It must be appropriate for the purpose of the response
Support 3 pts Enter criteria description	Good A minimum of three supporting sentences must provide references, examples, details from the text. The author's opinion should be included when it can be supported factually from the text or when an opinion is specifically called for in the prompt.
Conclusion 1 pts	Good The response should include a satisfying conclusion which either summarizes, leaves the reader with more to think about, or which restates the main idea of the thesis in a new way.
Conventions 2 pts	Good No mistakes in spelling, capitalization, punctuation, grammar, usage, are made when allowed time to revise. Only a few errors in a timed response which do not detract from the readers overall understanding of the response..
