Sentences	Accomplished Student wrote a paragraph or more with no mistakes in punctuation or capitalization.	Skilled Student wrote the full 3 sentences with a capital letter at the beginning and an ending mark at the end.	Emerging Student wrote only 2 sentences and/or is missing a capital letter or an ending mark.	Limited Student only wrote 1 sentence. There is no capital letter or no ending mark.
Spelling	Accomplished All words spelled correctly.	Skilled 1-3 words spelled incorrectly.	Emerging 4-6 words spelled incorrectly.	Limited 7 or more words spelled incorrectly.
Clear Idea/Content	Accomplished Student was able to clearly express themselves with good grammar.	Skilled Student is mostly clear on ideas.	Emerging Student unclear in ideas but reader can get the general gist of the ideas being presented.	Limited Student ideas unclear.
