Time Management

Low

The student is often distracted and distracts others. The student often needs the teacher to repeat the directions to stay the task. Student routinely behaves in a way that draws attention to himself/herself. The student is day dreaming. The student is focused on selecting music.
Medium

Sometimes the student is distracted but gets back on track with little reminding. The student sometimes needs to be reminded of the task or does not always put expected effort into work. The student leaves the room during the work period.
High

Every day the student begins work without reminders. If distracted, he/she gets back on track without reminding. He/She allows others to do their work by concentrating on own work. The student clearly puts effort into work.
Problem Completion

Low

Not meeting expectations. Student has many errors or hint requests.
Medium

Problems are completed, but the student could have done more. Student has errors and hint requests.
High

Student works hard to solve numerous problems. Student has limited errors or hint requests.
Bonus Work

Low

The student sometimes works on math software outside of class. This work represents 1-10 problems, or about 30 minutes of work.
Medium

The student regularly works on math software outside of class. This work represents 5-20 problems, or about 60 minutes of work.
High

The student frequently works on math software outside of class. This work represents 10-30 problems, or about 90 minutes of work.
