Illustrated Gardening Terms/Literary Device Glossary 
Students will create a "book" which explains and illustrates 25 gardening terms. Terms will be put in alphabetical order, numbered, and defined with grammatical accuracy while using a literary device to further explain.

Poorly assembled. Visible staples, tape or glue. Pages not secure. Poor choice of materials. Pictures of poor quality. Black and white. Looks thrown together. Not properly bound. Lacks evidence of planning and adequate time devoted to production.

Clear evidence of planning in terms of choice of materials. Illustrations and use of pictures are approopriate. Adequate time devoted to production and assembly. Generally neat and visually appealing. Meets expectations.

Clear evidence of planning in terms of choice of materials. Illustrations and use of pictures is superior. Perfectly assembled. Exceeds expectations.
GRAMMATICAL ACCURACY

Poor 15

Numerous grammatical mistakes: misspelled words, words not alphabetized, capitalization errors.
Good 20

Some grammatical errors that include misspelled words, capitalization errors, or words not alphabetized.
Excellent 25

No grammatical mistakes. All terms are spelled correctly, capitalized, and alphabetized.
