Asian Country Project/Presentation 
Students will research information on their chosen Asian country and present it to the class. Students are expected to have visual aids as well as a written report or neatly written/typed presentation cards to turn in.

Meets Standard

The presentation includes many types of information but may be lacking in organization and/or completeness
Below Standard

The presentation is lacking in basic information or information is disorganized and incomplete.
Poor

Student provides little to no basic information about the country.
Interesting/Unique Info

Examples: sporting events, animals, music, culture, foods, historic events, current events, etc.

Exceeds Standard

The presentation includes many interesting/unique facts that are organized and complete.
Meets Standard

The presentation includes many interesting/unique facts but may be lacking in organization and/or completeness
Below Standard

The presentation is lacking in interesting/unique information or information is disorganized and incomplete.
Poor

Student provides little to no interesting/unique information about the country.
Christianity/Prayer Points

Examples: is there persecution of believers? Can believers own a Bible? How do believers meet for worship?

The student provides a clear understanding of what it is like for believers living in the country, and how we can pray for them and the country
Meets Standard

The student provides a reasonable understanding of what it is like for believers living in the country, and how we can pray for them and the country
Below Standard

The student provides a poor understanding of what it is like for believers living in the country, and how we can pray for them and the country
Poor

The student does not provide examples of what it's like for believers living in this country, and how we can pray for the country and people there.
Visual Aids

Examples: poster board with pictures/descriptions, power point/google slides, etc.

Exceeds Standard

The visual aids have an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject.
Meets Standard

The visual aids are clear and logical and contain facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject.
Below Standard

The visual aids show some understanding of the subject matter, but contain errors. They lack style, neatness and/or clarity.
Poor

The visual aids do not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Written Aids

Examples: written report, presentation cards with talking points/facts, etc.

Exceeds Standard

Written aids are clearly written or typed with no major errors. They are well organized and written to the best of the student's ability.
Meets Standard

Written aids are clearly written or typed, but with a few errors. They are mostly organized and written to the student's ability.
Below Standard

Written aids are not neatly written, or typed and with many errors. They are not organized or written to the student's ability.
Poor

Written aids are very sloppy, unorganized, or not completed.
Work Quality/Effort

Exceeds Standard

The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the student.
Meets Standard

Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the student. It is evident that time was put into this project.
Below Standard

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the student is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Presentation

Exceeds Standard

The student is well-prepared, presents the information in a clear, organized fashion, and displays a complete understanding of the information.
Meets Standard

The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information.
Below Standard

The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project.
Poor

Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It lacks the expected elements.
