iRubric: Research Project rubric

The student displays no facts, or mostly incorrect facts. No sources cited. S/he does not include all the parts of the project assigned: Introduction, Rationale, Research question, Statement of the problem, Objectives, Literature review , Theoretical Framework and References.

The student displays facts, mostly in a correct way. S/he uses one or two sources only. All the parts of the research assigned were included but not in a proper way.

The student displays a variety of mostly correct facts. S/he uses several sources of information. There is a lack of understanding regarding the parts of the research assigned.

The student displays a variety of correct facts. S/he uses several sources of information and integrates all the parts of the research assigned in a coherent and cohesive way.

The project has little or no punctuation or spelling. The topic is unclear due to excesive errors.

The project has some correct spelling and punctuation. His/her writing style makes topic unclear.

The student uses mostly correct spelling and punctuation in his/her project. His/her writing style makes the topic understandable.

The student has no errors in spelling or punctuation. His/her writing style adds to the understanding of the topic and/or material.
