Oral Presentation Rubric

Prepared, purposeful & designed speech increases knowledge, fosters understanding, maintains positive attitudes, values, beliefs, and behaviors. Follows acceptable Public Speaking components. Facts & details are organized & comprehensible. Produces confident speakers & conveys good practice. Speakers nvestigate, research & deliver comprehensible presentation that informs or persuades the audience.

	Excellent Effectively spoke with clarity, with appropriate body language, pace, volume. The speaker made good eye contact with the audience and spoke with authority, providing depth of understanding of the topic. 10 pts	Proficient Good presentation, spoke efficiently with adequate articulation, body language, pace & volume. Speaker made adequate eye contact with audience & spoke with expertise with apparent understanding of the topic researched. 8 pts	Basic Adequately spoke with knowledge about a topic with stiff body language, pace, volume with some hesitation & not much eye contact. 6 pts	Below Basic Presentation does not evidence sufficient research, therefore, the speaker repeats points, does not demonstrate expertise or knowledge on the topic and therefore doesn't make eye contact, rushes through speech, lowers voice and pauses to get their thoughts together to proceed. 4 pts
