This is a rubric assessing comprehension of bar graphs and assessing if a graph has been designed properly.

	Good 10 pts	Fair 7 pts	Poor 4 pts
Title	Good Graph has a title that includes both dependent and independent variable and is capitalized correctly.	Fair Graph has a title but it does not include both variables and/or is not capitalized correctly.	Poor Graph does not have a correct title.
Labels and Titles	Good Both dependent and independent variables are labeled and capitalized correctly on the appropriate axis.	Fair One/some of the variables are labeled and capitalized correctly on the appropriate axis.	Poor Variables are not labeled correctly and/or capitalized on the appropriate axis.
Bars	Good Bars on the graph are all drawn accurately and completely shaded.	Fair Some of the bars on the graph are drawn accurately and somewhat shaded.	Poor Bars are drawn incorrectly or are not drawn at all.
Measurements	Good Graph shows an accurate representation of all the data collected.	Fair Graph shows only a partial representation of the data collected.	Poor Graph shows an inaccurate representation of the data collected.
Neatness	Good Bars are drawn straight using a ruler. Viewer can easily follow which bar represents each variable. Handwriting is completed using neat penmanship.	Fair Bars are drawn somewhat straight. Viewer can follow which bar represents each variable.	Poor Bars are drawn without a ruler which makes it very difficult for the viewer to follow the graph.
