Clarity of Content	Developing Student descriptions were not clear or were in another language.	Fair Student vaguely described the image using very basic vocabulary.	Good Student described most of the image using some descriptive vocabulary, may have left out some portions.	Excellent Student clearly described the image with vivid vocabulary.
Pronunciation	Developing Student's pronunciation was incomprehensible and/or mostly in another language.	Fair Student's pronunciation made understanding difficult.	Good Student's pronunciation was understandable with some error.	Excellent Student's pronunciation was like a native speaker.
Response	Developing Student was unable to respond to questions in English.	Fair Student took a long time to respond to questions and/or answers were inappropriate to the question.	Good Student was able to answer questions appropriately with some difficulty.	Excellent Student was able to communicate clearly with little to no difficulty.
