Presented a good amount of information, but may have lacked a couple elements that would have helped the audience fully understand the topic. Provided most of the necessary information.
Proficient
Fully accomplished the task set-out, with a big idea and elements that allowed the audience to fully understand the topic presented.
Mastery
Fully developed their presentation above and beyond the content expectations with a strong hook, thesis, and call to action. A big idea worth sharing..
Clarity
Not Acceptable
Voice, tone, diction, and flow were unprepared, unclear, and/or inappropriate. Did not engage the audience in any meaningful way.
Below Expectations
More than one element of speaking was not up to standard; including, clarity, volume, tone, and/or body language. Was not off script.
Acceptable
Spoke clearly enough, but may have struggled at times and needed to read their script multiple time.
Proficient
Spoke eloquently and clear, with a natural pace and engagement. Obviously rehearsed, but may have had to glance at their slides.
Mastery
Completely natural and "off-script" speaking ability. They presented the information in an engaging way that told a clear story, using tone, pitch, and diction to get their point across.
Consultation
Not Acceptable
May have only had one source, or only had one appropriate source.
Below Expectations
May have only had two sources, or only had two appropriate source.
Acceptable
Had three sources, or some sources were not credible and/or reliable.
Proficient
Had four sources, or a source that was not credible and reliable.
Mastery
Had five quality sources. One primary source was used in the presentation.
Capture (visual)
Not Acceptable
Lacked an appropriate visual, did not follow visual guidelines in many ways, and/or was not able to utilize visual during their speech.
Below Expectations
Technology follows somewhat of a PechKucha format, but may be missing quite a few slides, is not time correctly, and/or they do not all enhance the presentation.
Acceptable
Had a visual that showed some information and interesting images, but may have lacked proper formatting, consistency, balance/flow/theme/harmony, and/or distracted more than reinforced.
Proficient
Visual was thoughtfully done to enhance the presentation and engage the audience fully. Followed a PechaKuch format that was self-playing. May have missed a slide or a couple slides were not effective.
Mastery
Visual was thoughtfully woven together, telling a story that fully engaged the audience along with the speech. Student interacted with the visual and showed mastery of using a PechaKucha visual to enhance their presentation.
