M-MEASURABLE	Meets Expectations The goal and progress can be EASILY assessed and evaluated (examined)by the student.	Developing The goal and progress can be assessed and evaluated (examined) by the student, but NOT EASILY.	Needs Improvement The goal CANNOT be assessed or evaluated (examined), by the student.
A-ACTIONS	Meets Expectations The student has TWO or MORE appropriate OBJECTIVES (ACTIONS) in place to reach the goals.	Developing The student has ONE appropriate OBJECTIVE (ACTION) in place to reach the goals.	Needs Improvement The student NO appropriate OBJECTIVE (ACTION) in place to reach the goals.
R-REALISTIC	Meets Expectations The goal IS realistic, and VERY possible.	Developing The goal is SOMEWHAT realistic; and MAY NOT be possible for real reasons.	Needs Improvement The goal IS NOT realistic or it is IMPOSSIBLE.
T-TIME- BOUND	Meets Expectations The goal has a CLEAR and SPECIFIC "deadline" for completion.	Developing The goal has an UNCLEAR 'deadline" for completion.	Needs Improvement The goal has NO "deadline" for completion
