Spanish One - Poetry Project Spanish One - Poetry Project Two students will create an original poem for their invitee to the Day of the dead celebration. Use any school appropriate topic consisting of 2 stanzas of four lines each. Students put poem on either construction paper or small poster board. 8 x 11.5 okay. Make poem visually appealing. Poem must be in Spanish and use vocabulary and grammar from Spanish One. Rubric Code: WB42A6 By zavaleta Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Foreign Languages Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Written Work 30 % Poem in Spanish	Excellent Student had clear control of prompt. There were hardly any grammatical errors (1-2). Storyline had fluidity, creativity, and characters were well-developed.	Good Student had good knowledge of prompt. There were few grammatical errors (3-4). Storyline was good and creative.	Fair Student had little knowledge of the prompt and had many subject/verb agreement errors(5-6). There were many puncuation, capitalization, and spelling errors.	Poor Student did not understand the prompt or writing was incomprehensible. More than 6 errors evident including spelling.
Creativity and Completeness 35 % Visual impact	Excellent Project shows evidence of very detailed work, original details are added to make project impressive. Project shows above and beyond expectations. Outstanding visual appeal. Original drawing or photo along with the poem make a dramatic statement.	Good Project shows evidence of work, some details have been added to make project impressive. Above average work was done and most of directions were followed. Project looks complete. Original drawing or personal photo is used.	Fair Project shows evidence of very hurried work. Minimum work has been done. Project seems incomplete. Some instructions were not followed. No drawing or photo is used.	Poor Project does not seem complete, most of directions were not followed. <BR> <BR> If Work is not original and was not created by student student will earn 0 points on all categories.<BR> <BR> Use of an online translator is evident - 0 points will be earned in all categories.
