Front Page News Assignment

Students are to design and produce the front page of their own newspaper. Each student will produce an A3 size newspaper front page. Students will incorporate the major elements into their version of what a ewspaper should be, and the major components of a front page.

Articles	Poor The article does not reference the book. Article is poorly written.	Fair The book is referenced in the article, however, you would have to read the book in order to understand the article.	Good The article gives a good summary of the book.	Excellent The article is well written and gives a great summary of the book.
Creativity	Poor Newspaper includes no pictures. Those included have no or irrelevant connections.	Fair Newspaper includes some pictures or relevant additions, but are not properly labeled or are not related to the article.	Good Newspaper includes some pictures or relevant additions, and are sufficiently labeled.	Excellent Includes pictures and relevant additions to the newspaper other than articles. Each picture has a caption describing what it is and its relevance.
