Construction	Master Shows considerable attention to construction. All items neatly trimmed & securely attached. No stray marks or smudges.	Expert Shows attention to construction. Almost all items neatly & securely attached. A few barely noticeable stray marks or smudges.	Journeyman Shows little attention to construction. Not all items securely attached & is a bit messy. Some noticeable stray marks or smudges.	Novice Poorly constructed. Most items not securely attached. Smudges, stains, rips, uneven edges, and /or stray marks.
Theme	Master Depicts a scene from the play clearly. You can tell characters & landscape were from the play.	Expert Somewhat depicts a scene from the play. You can tell characters & landscape were from the play.	Journeyman Can not easily distinguish the scene as one from the play. Characters & landscape were not very recognizable.	Novice Diorama does not depict a scene from the play.
Creativity	Master Multiple & appropriate colors used. Several of the 3-D objects used in the diorama reflect exceptional student creativity in the creation and/or display.	Expert A few different colors used. A few of the 3-D objects used in the diorama reflect student creativity in the creation and/or display.	Journeyman Some range of color used, but not always accurately. One or two objects were made or customized by the student, but were typical rather than creative.	Novice Almost no color used or was used inaccurately.
Work Ethic	Master Student works with enthusiasm and is rarely off task. Met all deadlines.	Expert Student is seldom off task. Met 3/5 deadlines.
