Technology project grade 8 T3 
The task is to build a structure, i.e. A WORKING PULLEY (Mining theme), using the knowledge you will gain in class. You will have to submit a model and a booklet containing a design brief. The structure may be built from any material but must resemble a mining headgear and shaft. The structure will be tested in class to see that it completes its function.

The model had some form of visual appeal however it lacked creativity and colour.

The overall presentation of the project was good. There was a more effective use of colour and creativity. Some effort has been applied to house the mining theme.

The presentation of the project was great. The learner has used a good design and thought has been used to make the project appealing. The pulley system has been housed, the shaft is present and the headgear is a frame structure. The presentation is appealing.

The pulley system works to an extent however it is unstable and cannot support itself.

The pulley system works and is stable however the system needs adjusting and fixing in certain areas. A good system is present however it needs work

The system works well. It represents a closed system and is fully functional. It lifts the mine elevator in a stable manner and is a good example of well used materials.
