Facts and Information	Poor Student displays few facts, or mostly incorrect facts. Poor information. Supporting Documents are not included. 0-1 pages of written information.	Fair Student displays facts, mostly correct. There is some additional information. 1-2 pages of written information.	Good Student displays a variety of mostly correct facts. Information is detailed, some elaboration of subject. 2-3 pages of written information.	Excellent Students displays a variety of correct facts. Information is extensive and great elaboration. 3-4 pages of written information.
Research and Understanding	Poor Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project. Supporting Documents are not included.	Fair Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project. 2-5 points on supporting documents with some explanation of relevance. (appropriately cited works are acceptable)	Good Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project. 5-8 points on supporting documents with good explanation of relevance.(appropriately cited works are acceptable)	Excellent Student did significant research and it is almost entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project. 9-10 points on supporting documents and supporting documents are relevant and explained thoroughly. (appropriately cited works are acceptable)
Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation	Poor Project has little or no punctuation or spelling. Topic or material unclear due to excessive errors. Poor organization.	Fair Project has some correct spelling and punctuation. Writing style makes topic and/or material unclear. Some attempt at organization.	Good Project uses mostly correct spelling and punctuation. Writing style makes topic and/or material understandable. Good organization makes topic easy to understand.	Excellent Student has no errors in spelling or punctuation. Writing style adds to the understanding of the topic and/or material. Excellent organization enhances project.
Project Appearance	Poor Project layout is unorganized and messy, visually poor. Few visual aids.	Fair Project needs some organizational improvement and could use more effective visuals.	Good Project is well organized and visuals aid understanding. Layout is well thought out and effective.	Excellent Project is very well organized and the layout is effective. Excellent visuals enhance meaning and give additional information.
Works Cited	Poor Works Cited page is not present or completely cited incorrectly	Fair Works Cited page is present. 4 or more errors in format or punctuation and Bibliography.
