Each discussion board post is worth 5 points. You will receive one point for posting an assignment at least 2 days before next week's assignments begin. Points will be based on your contribution to the discussion & assignment completion quality. Quality of Information	Excellent Information clearly relates to the main topic. Contributions are substantive, thoughtful and relevant to the discussion. There are at least 2 specific examples of text or video being discussed.	Satisfactory Information clearly relates to the main topic in Contributions are thoughtful and relevant, but have less 2 mentions of what was read or watched.	Requires further effort Information has little or nothing to do with the main topic or simply restates the main concepts. Statements are not supported in at least 2 text or video events.
Participation	Excellent Responds to members of the online community. Encourages and facilitates interaction among members of the class. All posts are least 50 words. Assignment is complete and turned in before next week's class starts.	Satisfactory Responds to members of the online community. At least one response is not 50 words. Assignment is on turned in on time.	Requires further effort Limited or no response to members of the online community. Both responses lack necessary word count. Assignment late.
Adherence to Discussion Protocols	Excellent 1-3 errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation or syntax. Respectful language is used.	Satisfactory 4-5 errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation or syntax.
