Exceeds

Demonstrates knowledge of the worldwide locations of the biome using a world map and descriptive terms.
Animals

Needs Improvement

Identifies 1-3 animals in the biome that are adapted to the biome and why those adaptations contribute to the animals living and surviving in that biome and/or does not demonstrate understanding of how animals living in the biome are adapted to live in the biome.
Satisfactory

Identifies 4-6 animals in the biome that are adapted to the biome and why those adaptations contribute to the animals living and surviving in that biome and/or can not express why the adaptations contribute to the animals living and surviving in that biome.
Exceeds

Identifies 7 or more animals in the biome that are adapted to the biome and why those adaptations contribute to the animals living and surviving in that biome.
Plants

Needs Improvement
