Plastic straw Bridge Plastic straw Bridge Arch or beam bridge to be made out of plastic straws, toothpicks, and tape. Width must be 25 cm. The bridge must support a toy car. The car can not fall off the bridge and the bridge must not collapse. The bridge must be able withstand a minimum weight of a small toy car without failing or sagging more than five cm. Level 3 Overall, an attractive bridge (shapes, patterns, strength, etc Tidy work most of the time. Visually appealing. Structure	Level 1 Basic beam bridge (no real design). Does not span a gap of 8 inches (unstable or incomplete). Did not maximize use of materials (e.g. many straws, tape, toothpicks leftover).	Level 2 Beam or arch bridge with limited creative design. Spans a gap of 8 inches but remains unstable or incomplete in some way. Good use of materials.	Level 3 Beam or arch bridge designed with good creativity. Spans a gap of 8 inches, is complete and stable. Very good use of materials.	Level 4 Arch bridge designed with excellent creativity. Spans a gap of 8 inches and over, is complete and stable. Excellent use of materials.
Weight Held	Level 1 Failed by books falling off or bridge collapsing.	Level 2 The bridge successfully supported 1-5 books.	Level 3 The bridge successfully supported 6-10 books.	Level 4 The bridge successfully supported 10 and over books.
