Peer Editing Rubric RUBRIC - PEER READING Use this rubric to peer-edit your partners opinion paragraph. Completion/ & Content	Great! Student wrote detailed opinion paragraph with at least 6-7 sentences using ideas from 4 Habits of Mind and has carefully organized paragraph in chronological order. Communication in writing is well-organized and successful. Student has clear Opinion, Topic Sentence, Supporting Sentences and Conclusion.	Good Student wrote at least 5-6 sentences with clear Opinion, Topic Sentence, Supporting Sentences, and Conclusion.	So-So Student has clear opinion. Only wrote 3-4 sentences. A lot of confusion when reading.	Poor Student did not complete assignment that was asked for.
4 Habits of Mind	Great! Clear indication that student is using critical thinking and includes at least two aspects from the 4 Habits of Mind. Has clear Point of View and Evidence for his/her opinion.	Good Student has a Point of View and tried to use any other of the 4 Habits of mind.	So-So Student attempted to use at least one of the 4 Habits of Mind.	Poor NONE of the 6 Habits of Mind were used: 1. Point of View 2. Evidence 3. Connections 4. Alternatives 5. Relevance 6. Action
Spelling/Grammar	Great! There are NO errors in the writing.	Good Student has 1 or 2 small errors/mistakes.	So-So Student has 3-4 errors/mistakes in the writing.	Poor Careless writing with no effort at all with many mistakes and several errors.
Effort	Great! Writer has written a neat paragraph and has put care into the completion of this assignment.	Good Entire assignment is fairly neat. Effort in handwriting is apparent.	So-So There are 3 or more spelling errors. Parts of this assignment are illegible.	Poor Very illegible and sloppy. Obvious that student put no effort or time into assignment.
