Black History Project

Artifacts/ two	Advanced The artifacts ( Poster, build, blueprint etc.) is creative and neat, containing the person's name, a quote, a timeline, 3 or more pictures, and facts.	Proficient The artifact is neat and creative ( visually appealing), missing one or two essential pieces of information.	Basic The artifacts are visually appealing , however essential info is missing	Below Basic Student did not complete a artifacts, or it is no visually appealing and only containing one element.
Content/ two	Advanced The information is factual and well researched. It is focused on the persons life and how they were influential in history. Students take ownership of learning new content to improve their performance	Proficient The report is well researched. Some facts or examples needed more detail. Student need evidence of multiple sources in presentation. Student discovered opportunties to apply content to their lives.	Basic The report may not be clearly focused on the persons life and how they were influential in history. Very little in depth information. Student does not connect to life nor other learnings	Below Basic The report does not have a clear focus and show little research with no mention of their influence on history, or personal learnings.
Flip Grid/ choose one	Advanced Student maintained eye contact during presentation, spoke clearly, and seemed very knowledgeable of their subject. Shows and explains artifact with knowledge	Proficient Student seemed very knowledgeable but had to look up some information every now and then. Needs more practice. Artifact is presented	Basic Student presentation lacks evidence of information. Student is reading notes instead of just glancing.	Below Basic Student does not seem to have personal learning of their choice on or may have made up facts. student does not maintain eye contact.
Grammar - oral and writing	Advanced Student speaks clearly, fluently and has good language skills,	Proficient Student makes 2-3 errors in language skills, poster board has 1-2 misspelled items.	Basic Student makes 3-5 errors in language and posterboard, has 3 or more errors in misspelled items.	Below Basic Student is difficult to understand due to errors in language skills and posterboard had 4 or more misspelled items.
