Venn Diagram Rubric Week 2 Venn Diagram Rubric Students will be graded on their abilities of creating a Venn Diagram that compares and contrasts characters, key details, and main ideas, in Myths and Legend stories of their choice. The criteria that the students will be graded are; completion of the diagram, the number of compare and contrast details provided, and the accuracy of the details in the Venn Diagram. Grading Criteria
	Excellent/Advanced 5 pts	Good/Proficient 4 pts	Fair/Approaching 3 pts	Needs Work/Incomplete 2 pts
Venn Diagram	Excellent/Advanced The Venn Diagram has been completed with enough detail to show they have a Excellent grasp of the characters, key details, main idea.	Good/Proficient The Venn Diagram is completed but has some information placed in the wrong section. Shows they have good understanding the characters, key details, main idea.	Fair/Approaching The Venn Diagram has some missing details and/or details in the wrong section . Shows that they have a some understanding of the characters, key details, main idea.	Needs Work/Incomplete The Venn Diagram was not completed or completed with most of the information in the wrong sections. They have very little grasp of the characters, key details, main idea.
Correct Grammar and Spelling	Excellent/Advanced All content in the Venn Diagram has no spelling errors, or grammatical errors.	Good/Proficient The content of the Venn Diagram has up to two spelling and/or two grammatical errors.	Fair/Approaching The content in the Venn Diagram has up to four spelling and/or grammatical errors.	Needs Work/Incomplete The content in the Venn Diagram has over five spelling and/or grammatical errors.
Details & Accurarcy	Excellent/Advanced 6+ compare and contrast details provided accurately in each circle	Good/Proficient 3-5 compare and contrast details provided accurately in each circle.	Fair/Approaching 2-3 compare and contrast details provided accurately in each circle.	Needs Work/Incomplete Less than two compare and contrast details provided accurately in each circle.
Presentation	Excellent/Advanced Paper is very neat. No problems reading any portion of assignment.	Good/Proficient Paper can be read without any problems.	Fair/Approaching Somewhat easier to read but still have trouble with some words/sentences.	Needs Work/Incomplete Have a hard time reading child's work.
