Skeletal System Assessment Skeletal System Assessment Students will create a song using a visual aid or class activity to demonstrate their knowledge of the five functions of the skeletal system. Names and location of the major bones in the human body, as well as the parts of a bone will be included. Narration	Poor Speaker is hard to understand/hear. No eye contact. Little or no preparation/rehearsal. Fidgety.	Fair Speaks clearly. Good volume. Some eye contact. Limited body symantics. Prepared for presentation.	Good Speaks clearly. Appropriate volume. Influction of voice. Good eye contact. Limited body symantics. Well prepared for presentation.
Visual Aid/ Model of the Skeleton	Poor No visual aid prepared.	Fair Visual aid was present, but poorly done and added no appeal or understanding to the presentation. Can be Power Point or video of student miming or singing their song. Poster to point out words of song.	Good Visual aid was neatly done with detail and added appeal and understanding to the presentation. Can be Power Point or video of student miming or singing their song.
Rap/Song/Poem	Poor Less than 20 of the bones were properly identified. Song, poem, or rap reflect very little effort spent on task.	Fair More than 20 of the bones of the human body were properly identified. Good effort, but song, rap, or poem is too short.	Good All of the 40 major bones of the human body were properly identified in the song, poem or rap. Creativity and effort are outstanding, it is evident that time was spent to complete the task.
Poster	Poor Poster seems to be rushed and does not include required information. Poem, song, or rap is not attached to the skeleton.	Fair Poster only includes one or two interesting facts about the skeletal system. More effort is needed to complete the task correctly.	Good Includes all required information. Clearly explains the five interesting facts about the skeletal system. Poem/ song/ or rap is attached to skeleton.
Project Completion	Poor Poster and song is not complete. Group seems confused, a clear sign no time spent on rehearsing.	Fair Either song or poster is not completed and handed in late. Group is somewhat rehearsed.	Good Project is completed on time and group is well rehearsed.
