Students must create a model/diagram of photosynthesis and cellular respiration represents the process. All steps should be labeled correctly.

Able to describe each process and its purpose.	Expert Excellent understanding of both processes. Able to describe each process and its purpose, in depth, and using appropriate vocabulary.
Neatness Make sure there are no smudges. All organelles are neatly done.	Novice Very messy. Numerous smudges on project. Labels are messy and difficult to read.	Apprentice Somewhat neat. Some effort in presentation and labels, but still some areas that are smudged. Labels are fairly neatly written.	Practioner Neatly. Few smudges on paper, and all pieces securely glued down. Creativity Project must be colored and imagination must be used.	Novice Little creativity seen in design. Problems with planning and organization.	Apprentice Shows some creativity in design. Shows signs of planning and organization.	Practioner Creative use of materials that show very good planning, organization, and hard work.	Expert Extremely creative design. Clever use of materials, well organized.
Effort Work must be done in class, some may be taken home with permission.	Novice Very little effort put into project. Off-task alot during allotted time in class to work.	Apprentice Some signs of effort shown. Worked 1 of the 3 days in class.	Practioner Effort was put forth. Worked 2 out of the 3 days in class on the project, stayed on task.
