Of Mice & Men
The class will design a newspaper based on Of Mice & Men. Choose events from the story and develop them into newspaper articles (remember to answer the 5 Wh- questions). Include colorful drawings that reflect the part of the book. Create ads for sales of various things that would be of interest to your characters. Choose an unfamiliar word, explain its meaning and use it in a sentence. Select a quote that is significant for the part of the book you are reading now. Make sure your newspaper section is neat, shows creativity, and it is free of grammar, spelling and punctuation errors. Every student is required to write at least one article, preferably two, contribute a drawing, create an ad, and choose a quote of the week for the newspaper.
