Writing A Short Story
	Excellent 5 pts	Good 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Foreshadowing	Excellent Presents clear, subtle hints; successfully foreshadows to where the audience makes a correct prediction	Good Presents subtle hints that are somewhat clear; foreshadows well enough that the audience comes close with their predictions	Fair Presents vague hints that lead to several predictions from the audience, some of the predictions may be correct	Poor There is limited to no foreshadowing in the story, resulting in no accurate predictions from the audience
Plot	Excellent Presents events that create a clear narrative. All steps are accurate in the PLOT in the PLOT graph organizer	Good Presents sequence of events, one step of the PLOT is not in the correct place in the PLOT graph organizer	Fair Presents a confusing sequence of events. Several steps of the PLOT are incorrect in the PLOT graph organizer.	Poor Presents no logical order, steps of the PLOT graph organizer are incorrect.
