Planning 20 % Written teaching proposal approved	Pass Student completed and submitted written teaching proposal including all elements to Sim faculty at least 1 week in advance and made recommended changes.	Fail Student did not complete and/or submitted written teaching proposal including all elements to Sim faculty at least 1 week in advance and/or din not made recommended changes.
Knowledge 20 % All group members demonstrate individual knowledge of the topic	Pass Student demonstrated in depth knowledge about the topic. Able to answer questions thoroughly and provide additional relevant information.	Fail Student did not participate in presentation or did not demonstrate in depth knowledge about the topic. Unable to answer questions thoroughly and provide additional relevant information.
Evidence 20 % Accurate evidence-based information References cited	Pass Topic well researched. Based on information collected from variety of sources that are solid and relevant to presentation.	Fail Topic not well researched. Inaccurate information. Information from non-scholarly sources. No references provided.
Interaction 20 % Creative, interactive elements, engages patients includes "take home" teaching element that reinforces main teaching points	Pass Well organized, interesting, creative, teaching project that engaged learners and encouraged active involvement. Take home teaching element reinforces main teaching points.	Fail Teaching project lacked organization and/or creativity elements. Project failed to engage learners, and/or encourage active involvement. Take home teaching element did not reinforce main teaching points.
Delivery 20 % Organized, professional, uses teaching aids	Pass Student demonstrated good voice inflection, eye contact, and enthusiasm. Engaged patients. Speaks with authority and knowledge while using patient appropriate vocabulary. Makes excellent use of teaching aids present.	Fail Appears under prepared. Disorganized. Overuse of difficult to understand medical jargon. Does not use teaching aids to complement teaching.
