Observation Report Rubric Observation notes will be graded each week. Final grade will be provided as the average of the 12 observation reports. Total Marks: 16 Percentage of final grade: 11%

Subjective Observation 4 pts Information collected from clients, students perceptions, or students personal feelings about the session.	Excellent Observations were excellent. Writing showed depth of thought and made connections from week to week.	Very Good Observations were very good. They met the expectations of the assignment.	Satisfactory Observations were difficult to understand and writing was disjointed.	Incomplete Observations were not subjective, major revision required.
Objective Observation 4 pts Information collected through observation of sessions and interventions. Should be unbiased, and relate to the clinical process (goals/objectives, interventions, client responses.	Excellent Observations were excellent. Writing showed understanding of session goals and objectives, and described session elements accurately.	Very Good Observations were very good. They met the expectations of the assignment.	Satisfactory Observations were difficult to understand and writing was disjointed.	Incomplete Observations were not objective, major revision required.
Mechanics 4 pts Spelling, grammar, and clinical language	Excellent All elements present. Excellent grammar, spelling. Very professional.	Very Good All elements present. Few points needed revisions. Questions and Thoughts 4 pts Students thoughts about session as it applies to their understanding of music therapy and their course content. Questions posed do not need to be answered by students.	Excellent Questions and thoughts provided are present and provoke stimulating dialogue. Questions and thoughts demonstrate connection to material presented in academic courses.	Very Good Questions and thoughts are present and meet the expectations of the assignment.	Satisfactory Questions and thoughts show a lack of depth, and do not demonstrate a connection with the subjective and objective content collected in the report.	Incomplete Questions and thoughts are not present in the report.
