The students will create a pictoral model of a created extremophile. They will complete a diagram with the labelled parts of their extremophile. Below or on a separate piece of paper there should be facts about the extremophile.

The student has put exceptional time and effort into making the picture appear realistic. It not only has the necessary labelled parts but has mini descriptions for the body parts.
Good-Meet standards

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this picture.
Fair

The extremophile meets specific requirements but, only a fair effort was used to create a creative and interesting extremophile. Quality is still not what the learner is capable of.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Diagram/picture is incomplete.
Presentation

The student spoke clearly and presented their information covering the outlined details of an extremophile. It is evident that the student had prepared what they will say.

Project very neat. Nice handwriting or typing was used. It was evident that the student took their time to make the project look nice.
Fair

The report lack neatness and clarity.
Poor

It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product.

All characterstics and traits of extremophile are covered with great detail and logical reasoning for adaptations
Good-Meet standards

Some characteristics and traits of extremophile are listed and included with limited detail and most reasoning is logical

Traits and characteristics of extremophile are listed without detail and/or does not follow logical reasoning for these adaptations
