Character Acrostic Response 
Students select a character and write an acrostic of the character's personality. They select three of the adjectives they've used and find an appropriate quote in the text to support their choice of descriptor.

Character Selection

Character should be one about whom there is adequate information to complete the assignment satisfactorily.

Adjective Selections

Adjectives should be relevant to the character selected and should be spelled correctly.

Quote Selections

Must use direct quotes, implement quotation marks, and reference page numbers. Quote must show a tie or connection to the corresponding adjective.

Student does not give direct quotes, does not incorporate quotation marks, does not include page number. The information given does not relate to the character.
Fair

The student uses direct quotes, quotation marks, and page numbers. Some quotes do not show a connection between the character and the adjective given.
