Time Management	Poor Almost never on task. Rarely uses time wisely. Work is not turned in on time.	Fair Usually on task. Attempts to use time wisely and turn assignments in on time.	Good Always on task and uses time wisely. Seldom needs extra time to complete work.
Engaged	Poor Almost never shows interest in the topic or activity. Falls asleep, daydreams, or is otherwise distracted.	Fair Sometimes shows interest in the topic or activity. May occasionally seem bored or distracted.	Good Always shows shows interest in the topic or activity. Never distracted.
Responsible for learning	Poor Almost never monitors his own understanding. If he does detect a lack of understanding, he always asks the teacher for an explanation before reviewing the material.	Fair Occasionally monitors his own understanding. When he detects a lack of understanding, he sometimes reviews the material before asking the teacher for an explanation.
