	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Capital letters	Poor Does not use capital letters at beginning of sentences or puts capital letters in inappropriate places i.e. middle of sentences or words.	Fair Uses capital letters at beginning of some sentences, does not misuse capital letters in other places in sentences.	Good Begins all sentences with capital letters	Excellent Begins all sentences and word work words with capital letters when necessary
Punctuation	Poor Does not use any punctuation in any of the sentences.	Fair Uses 3 or fewer punctuation marks.	Good Uses punctuation marks in most sentences. Missed 1 or 2.	Excellent Uses correct punctuation in all sentences.
