	Excellent 5 pts	Good 4 pts	Fair 3 pts	Poor 2 pts
Paragraph Stucture	Excellent Paragraph begins with an indent and contains an excellent mix of simple, compound, and complex sentences.	Good Paragraph begins with an indent and contains some compound sentences.	Fair Paragraph may or may not have an indent and contains mostly simple sentences .	Poor Paragraph is not complete. There is no indent and contains incomplete or only simple sentences.
Capitalization	Excellent Most sentences contain correct capitalization. (at least 80% of the sentences are capitalized)	Good A few sentences are missing capital letters. (75% of the sentences are capitalized)	Fair Many sentences are missing capital letters. (50% of the sentences are capitalized)	Poor Most of the sentences are missing capital letters. (0-49% of the sentences are capitalized)
Punctuation Marks	Excellent Most sentences contain correct punctuation marks. (at least 80% of the sentences are punctuated correctly)	Good A few sentences are missing punctuation marks.
