Letter to Jeff 
A letter from Rawiri to Jeff. Both are characters in the novel Whalerider. Rawiri is back in Whangara and is reunited with his family. Rawiri explains to Jeff about Maori culture, the tribal connection with whales and the whale rider. He also explains who Koro Apirana is and what he is trying to teach the young men in the village as well as who Kahu is and what abilities Rawiri expects she might have. He also also talks about Nanny Flowers
