Ecosystem Model Project Ecosystem Model Project Students are to model their ecosystem. The model should include appropriate living and non-living organisms present. They will present what living and non-living organisms are present, how the living organisms meet their needs for survival, and example of a food chain or web that exists in this environment, what types of changes could take place, what those changes could do to the populations within that ecosystem, and what microbes might be present that may drastically effect the ecosystem. Model	Poor Student did not accurately and neatly display model of ecosystem.	Fair Student displayed ecosystem below the expectations of the instructor lacking either neatness or accuracy.	Good Student somewhat displayed the ecosystem with accuracy and neatness.	Excellent Student exceeded the expectations of the instructor by accurately and neatly displaying the ecosystem model.
Photos of Ecosystem	Poor No photos of ecosystem.	Fair 1-2 photos of ecosystem.	Good 3 photos of ecosystem.	Excellent more than 3 photos of ecosystem
Presentation to Class	Poor Presentation misidentifies type of ecosystem, doesn't mention characteristics that define it, student is not prepared to give presentation.	Fair Presentation identifies type of ecosystem, natural or geographic characteristics that define it but not both, some plants or animals but not both, students are ill-prepared to give presentation.	Good Presentation identifies type of ecosystem, most natural and geographic characteristics that define it, and types of organisms found in it. Students are prepared to give presentation	Excellent Presentation identifies type of ecosystem, natural and geographic characteristics that define it, and types of organisms found in it. Students are prepared to give presentation and answer questions from the audience.
