Design an eco-friendly house using alternative sources of energy and focusing on sustainability and the ability to be off-grid. House must be 3-D

Build a model of a house that is sustainable, uses renewable fuel, has a zero carbon and water footprint, and composts waste, or reforms it into something useable.

This is a project that will assess student understanding of the major events of the American Civil War

Students are to create a power point presentation outlining important points about approved topic of WWI or WWII. Students must present information & power point presentation to the class. The power point should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the topic researched and allow the presenter an opportunity to present (not just read slides to the students); students will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered.

Students researched a selected inventor and their invention from the Industrial Revolution era. In addition, they created a project to support their report. Projects were infographic, diorama, mobile, clay model, OR poster.

This a project that should include some aspect of the Civil War e.g. a major battle, a military or political figure, an important event or turning point, or aspects of life during the Civil War into a Diorama or 3D project. Not all possible topics have been listed. You are encouraged to speak to the teacher about your project to get an ideas or help needed. This project should be colorful, attractive, and FUN!

Use this rubric to help you write a five paragraph essay utilizing five paragraph essay structure. Your essay should be neatly written or typed. Attach this rubric to your essay before you turn it in.

This rubric can be used to evaluate science experiments undertaken in small groups.

Complete the Mighty Mineral Info sheet. Information sheets must be NEAT and contain all info requested. Create a cartoon/advertisement for your mineral, including the mineral's name, chemical formula, and a cartoon/ad slogan that describes one or more of its important uses. You must also include pictures or a cartoon character that relates to your slogan. Cartoons/ads must be neat and colorful. You may do free hand or computer printed. Have fun and be creative.

Students are to model their ecosystem. The model should include appropriate living and non-living organisms present. They will present what living and non-living organisms are present, how the living organisms meet their needs for survival, and example of a food chain or web that exists in this environment, what types of changes could take place, what those changes could do to the populations within that ecosystem, and what microbes might be present that may drastically effect the ecosystem.

This rubric will assess the knowledge that students have learned over a 10 lesson unit of weather focusing of types of weather and a specific state compared to NJ.
