Puppet Show / Group Skit rubric 
Students will work in groups of three our four people to create a puppet skit with dialogue. The skit should be a minimum of three minutes to a maximum of five minutes. The group will bring socks and create puppets as their characters for the skit. A group puppet show will then be performed in class. (Students will act it out with fellow classmates using their sock puppets). **Each student will be given an individual mark.

Creativity shown with choice of character roles. Main story line is clear and consistent. Puppets were made to suit their character.
Level 2

Some creativity shown but choice of characters' roles are lacking. Main story line is unclear and/or is not consistent throughout performance. All students have their own puppets and are part of the skit.

Creativity not shown. Main story and character roles are not clear. Student(s) did not have their own sock puppet to perform in the skit.
Props

Level 4

Performance includes appropriate props, Props are created with care, creativity, are accurate, and enhance the understanding of the skit.
Level 3

Performance includes some props. Props are appropriate and add to the understanding of the skit.
Level 2

Performance includes few props . Props are generic and do little to enhance the understanding of the skit.
Level 1

Performance includes little to no props.
Cooperation

Level 4

Student works well with their team. Equally assists in creating the script and in most cases takes on a leadership role.
Level 3

Student mostly cooperates with the other members in his/her group.
Level 2

Student shows a basic understanding of working in a group. He/She helps a little with writing the script.
Level 1

Student inconsistently works well with other members of the group. He/she does not show flexibility or compromise with other members.
