Journal Article Summary Rubric
After reading six short business articles regarding soft skills in the workplace, choose at least four of them to synthesize into a summary. Be sure to cite the sources within the text using a variety of citation strategies. Give the paper a title. Write a clear 2-3 page summary of the articles with an appropriate introduction and conclusion.

Paper is not well organized, has an unclear or non-existent intro, body and conclusion. The purpose of the paper is unclear and the name and author of the article is not stated or stated late.

Appropriate in-text citations included. All requirements are met and there are no grammatical errors or typos.
Fair
Most in-text citations are included. All requirements are met and there are 1-4 grammatical errors or typos.
Poor
Summary missing citations. All requirements are not met. There are 5+ grammatical errors or typos.
Introduction/Conclusion
Good
Introduction focuses on key points that will be shared. Creative and original. Conclusion appropriately wraps up the topic and includes a so what /significance commentary.
Fair
Attempt to share key points. Conclusion attempts to include a so what commentary.
Poor
Introduction is plagiarized. Conclusion lacks depth and a so what commentary.
