	Poor 1 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 7 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Topic/Prompt	Poor The prompt can not be found anywhere in the work. It is more of a summary than an argument.	Fair The prompt is stated, but the author does not answer it.	Good The prompt is stated and the author attempts to answer it.	Excellent The prompt is stated and the author is highly expressive in answering it.
Quality of argument	Poor Argument presented is lacking strong quality, has weak or no organization and logic.	Fair Argument presented has some organization and logic.	Good Argument presented is of good quality, basically logical and organized.	Excellent Argument presented is of high quality with logical organization which adds to its strength.
Evidence	Poor No evidence is used.	Fair Only one piece of evidence is used. No citations.	Good Two or three pieces of evidence are used. Some sources are cited.	Excellent More than three pieces of evidence are used. All sources are cited.
Format	Poor The presentation is not organized.	Fair The presentation is loosely organized. An attempt at an introduction and conclusion are made.	Good The presentation is mostly organized. An introduction and conclusion are present, but cluttered.	Excellent The author is creative in crafting an introduction and conclusion. The intro includes a thesis and main points. A conclusion is used effectively.
Rebuttal	Poor Presenter does not respond to questions.	Fair Presenter attempted to answer questions but did not address correctly.	Good Presenter somewhat answered questions with some valuable knowledge.	Excellent Presenter answer all questions with confidence and the correct answers.
