Song or Rap

Students will sing a song or rap for PBL purposes. Students will perform for the class individually, in duets, groups or whole class. Students can also use You Tube to use the video as karaoke as well. Lyrics and song choices MUST be school appropriate. Inappropriate lyrics or songs may result in a zero. Dress up is not mandatory but will be evaluated as extra points.

Song lyrics are school appropriate and correctly address some of the concepts of the play.	Fair The song lyrics are some what coherent. The song lyrics are well received by the audience. Most of the song lyrics are school appropriate but only address a few the concepts of the play.	Poor The song lyrics are coherent, however the song is only a summary of the play and does not address the concepts.	Little/No Attempt The song lyrics are not coherent and/or the song lyrics are not school appropriate and do not address any of the concepts of the play. AND/OR the lyrics were not handed in.
Performance 25 pts	Excellent The performer maintains eye contact, has the song memorized and delivers flawlessly.	Good The performer maintains eye contact, has the song memorized and with a few stumbles.	Fair The performer does not maintain continuous eye contact, has some of the song memorized and has occasional stumbles.	Poor The performer maintain a little eye contact and/or just a little of the song is memorized.	Little/No Attempt The performer does not make eye contact and/or none of the song is memorized.
Mechanics 25 pts	Excellent The student uses song or lyrics to create a great flow and transition.
