GRADE 8 INTERACTIVE HISTORY NOTEBOOK RUBRIC 
This rubric will assess your History Interactive Notebook. Your notebook will be collected periodically during the school year and graded according to the following 3 criteria using 5 levels.

The overall Notebook is excellent. The student appears to grasp the concepts being assessed. Notebook addresses all aspects of the tasks. The images for the section tab page is good.

Notebook is exceptional. The student appears to grasp the concepts being assessed and the notebook illustrates an insight that exceeds grade level expectations. Each section tab page depicts clearly its' historical significance.

Neatness/Ogranization

The Notebook is sloppy. There is little/no labeling of assignments. The student will have great difficulty identifying items when studying. Tabs are inaccurate, missing, or poorly identifiable.

The Notebook is nice, but could be neater. Labels are minimal. The student could identify items for review, however it is not as neatly put together as it could have been.Tabs are difficult to read and/or done in pencil and/or out of order.
Good

The Notebook is neat enough for the student to identify each assignment and notes included. The Notebook is organized and neat. Tabs are labeled
Excellent

The Notebook is neat and clearly labeled all assignments are in place. It will be a nice display for others to refer too. Tabs are in ink, neat and in order.
Exemplary

The Notebook is very neat and clearly labeled. The student clearly spent extra time making the Notebook presentable. Great example. Tabs are typed or neatly labeled in ink and in correct order.
