Brain parts The students will speak to or demonstrate the location of their brain part as well as tell the job of the portion of the brain researched.	Novice The student did not explain the job of the brain or did not give the location of the brain portion researched.	Capable The student did not show or explain all of the jobs their researched portion of the brain is responsible for.	Skilled Ths student was able to clearly show what possibilities this brain portion affects and gives its location.
Injury to brain Student will tell what happens if this portion of the brain is injured.	Novice The student did not talk about the injury in any detail.	Capable The student spoke little about the injury and effects.	Skilled The student showed the injury and effects and was clear in the subject matter.
Subject Knowledge Able to understand the material and show the ability to speak on the level for education purposes	Novice Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about the subject.	Capable Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only very simple questions.	Skilled Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration.

Elocution	Novice Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students to hear them. Student reads all of presentation with no eye contact.	Capable Student speaks coherently but has difficulty with scientific terms. Audience members have slight difficulty hearing presentation. Student occasionally makes eye contact, but still reads most of presentation. Relationship of brain and experienc Student relates the brain portion researched to the field trip to Six Flags.	Novice Student has little relation of brain portion to experiences.	Capable Student talks briefly about experiences, but doesn't give any real detail into the relationship between brain portion and experiences.	Skilled Student gives good detail into relationship of brain portion and experiences received from field trip to Six Flags or home experience for those who did not attend.
