Composition Rubric 
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of paragraph organization, Composition writing process of Identifying each topic, organizing, writing, evaluating and presenting the composition. There are three main components of a Composition- Introduction, body and conclusion. Compositon has 50 total points available.

The student clearly addresses all or most of the questions in the prompt.
Marginal

Addresses the assigned topic, The student may address one or two of the questions in the prompt but not thoroughly.
Below Marginal

Attempts to address assigned topic but with little or no focus. The student may address one of the questions in the prompt but answers vaguely or briefly.
Organization

Statements, topics and paragraphs are organized throughout the paper

Effective

Establishes a clear and logical organization. Clear paragraphing with ideas moving smoothly from general to specific or in another clear and logical order with specific details and examples clearly supporting the ideas presented.
Adequate

Uses an identifiable organizational plan. Adequate paragraphing that is mostly clear and logical with sufficient use of details and examples.

There may be paragraphs, but ideas may not be presented in a logical order or lack details and examples.
