Students will use a technology resource such as iPad (Sock Puppets App), Go Animate, Animoto, iMovie, etc.) to create a multimedia product that summarizes information from their "expert' chapter.

Includes text-based evidence from the chapter to support ideas.

Beginner

Summary gives some details from the chapter.
Competent

Summary includes specific details that help the reader understand what the chapter was about.
Expert

Summary includes specific details that help the reader understand what the chapter was about.
Information is provided in a logical order.
Summary focuses on main ideas.
VISUAL RESOURCES

Student uses appropriate visual resources to enhance their project.

Beginner

Some images are provided, but do not communicate the meaning of to summary.
Competent

Images are used that align with the tone, but do not easily communicate the meaning of the summary.
Expert

Images are used that fit with the tone and help the viewer visualize the meaning of the summary.

It is evident that careful consideration was given to the background, setting, and/or characters used in the project. These elements enhance the tone of the overall summary.

Summary is incomplete. Basic sentences or fragments are used throughout the summary. Numerous spelling and grammatical errors prevent the viewer from understanding the summary.
