Needs at least 2 prompts to initiate a conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Prompts to turn body towards the speaker but does not make any eye contact.	Sufficient 1.With 1 prompt, initiates conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Body is turned towards the speaker/listener and makes some eye contact during half of the conversation.	Independent 1. Independently, initiates a conversation with a greeting or question. 2. Body is turned towards the speaker/listener and looks at the person
During the conversation	Needs Improvement 1. Does not take turns in conversation.	Emerging 1. Takes turns in conversation by adding a minimal amount of information to the topic and or answering a direct question. Needs 2 prompts to make at least 1 relevant comments	Sufficient 1.
