Clarity + Comprehension	Poor All answers were awkward and incomprehensible. Student was unable to comprehend questions. Questions had to be repeated.	Fair Answers were awkward and incomprehensible to understand at times. The student showed little comprehension of questions. Questions had to be repeated.	Good Answers were awkward at times but always understandable. The student understood most of what was asked of him/her.	Excellent Answers were clear and comprehensible. The student fully understood the questions asked and answered correctly.
Pronunciation	Poor Student's pronunciation was incomprehensible.	Fair Student's pronunciation made understanding difficult. A lot of linguistic errors that were not even noticed by the speaker.	Good Student's pronunciation was understandable with some errors and intention to correct them.	Excellent Student's pronunciation was mostly correct with a few errors that were corrected very quickly.
Fluency + content	Poor Student was unable to respond to questions. Did not address the topics, or no response to question.	Fair Student took a long time to respond to questions. Barely addressed the topics or answered question with very limited answers.	Good Students were able to answer the questions with little difficulty. Gave appropriate answers but were limited in content.	Excellent Students were able to communicate clearly with no difficulty. Gave appropriate details and good vocabulary in responses to questions.
