Level of Engagement 25%	Poor Student never participates in class, does not participate in discussions. Comments, when offered, are often uninformed and rely more on being heard than benefitting class discussion.	Fair Student rarely participates in class, struggles with discussions. Comments are often uninformed and not additive or informative for class discussion.	Good Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in discussions. Most importantly, input is additive, but not of highest caliber.	Excellent Student brings original thought and perspective to discussion. Quality of input and contribution is very high. Maintains active involvement throughout quarter.
Preparation 25%	Poor Student is almost always unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.	Fair Student is frequently unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.	Good Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late.	Excellent Student is always prepared for class with assignments and has clearly read and thought through the assigned materials.
Classroom Etiquette 25%	Poor Student leaves in the middle of class, needs constant reminder to put away technology, makes inappropriate comments, disrespectful to classmates which could result in dismissal from course.
